Satoshi Nakamoto is expected to be a person living in the USA. However, he might have hailed from one of the Anglosphere countries or been of English descent. His writings, including the Whitepaper, forum messages, and several other correspondence with early-stage Bitcoin developers, indicate a British English writing style and choice of words.
However, he might not be living in Canada or in Europe (or Australia & New Zealand for that matter) because the events that seem to shape his work, i.e., Bitcoin, are inspired by the American Financial System.
Why is Satoshi expected to be an American Resident?
He was very clear in his writing that he was disturbed by the US Government’s endless printing and debasement of the US Dollar. Further, his declared date of birth (from P2P Foundation profile), i.e., April 5, 1975, is the date on which the USA banned private ownership of gold. The context is Gold protected public wealth against the Dollar’s debasement.
